Anthony Dennis, Stade Rennais’ New Nigerian Target for the Future

As the Ligue 1 season comes to a close, Stade Rennais is already preparing to strengthen its lineup for next year. Among the options being explored, Nigerian talent Anthony Dennis is drawing particular attention. The 20-year-old midfielder, currently playing for Göztepe in Turkey, is seen as an excellent choice to boost the Breton team.

Anthony Dennis, developed at the HB Academy in Abuja, Nigeria, joined Göztepe in January 2023 and has established himself as an indispensable starter for the Turkish side. His versatility on the field, capable of playing as either a defensive midfielder or box-to-box, has attracted interest from several European clubs, including Leeds United, Stuttgart, St. Pauli, and Brighton & Hove Albion.

Dennis, whose contract runs until 2027, has an exit clause, which could facilitate his departure if a suitable offer is made. His market value is estimated at around 2 million euros by *Transfermarkt*, although some sources suggest figures between 8 and 10 million euros.

Stade Rennais, known for its interest in African talent, must now convince the player and his club to join the ranks of the Rouge et Noir. With its presence in Ligue 1 and potential for growth, Rennes seems like an appealing option for the young Nigerian.

However, the competition is fierce, and Rennes’ management will need to be persuasive to attract Dennis. The future of this promising talent remains shrouded in mystery, but one thing is certain: Anthony Dennis is on the list of transfers to watch this summer.
