Everton refuses a crazy offer from Inter Milan for Iliman Ndiaye, a rising star

Arriving at Olympique de Marseille in summer 2023 for about 18 million euros, Iliman Ndiaye did not manage to establish himself permanently at his beloved club before being transferred to Everton. The 25-year-old Senegalese quickly regained his form in the Premier League, scoring 9 goals during the 2024-2025 season, thus confirming his potential at a high level. This form allowed him to start the new season strongly with already 2 goals in 3 matches.

Ndiaye’s performance did not go unnoticed, to the point that Inter Milan submitted a substantial offer to Everton during the last summer transfer window. According to reports from several media outlets, including The Athletic and Euro-football.ru, the Italian club proposed nearly 47 million euros (40 million pounds) to recruit the Senegalese winger. This amount is significant, almost three times the investment made by Everton when signing him a year earlier.

However, Everton quickly declined this proposal, emphasizing the player’s importance in their long-term sporting project. Ndiaye indeed has a contract until June 2029, and his increasing role in the team enhances his value in the eyes of the Toffees’ management. Rejecting this huge offer also reflects Everton’s confidence in his ability to continue performing well in the Premier League.

This situation highlights Iliman Ndiaye’s rapid rise, who despite a mixed spell at Marseille, has managed to prove himself in a demanding championship like England’s. Inter Milan’s strong interest in a player progressing so well confirms that he is now regarded as a major asset capable of performing at the highest European level.
