Transfer blocked: Aston Villa withdraws from Nicolas Jackson deal, Bayern Munich in pole position

The transfer of Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea to Aston Villa appears to be stalled, as Aston Villa has officially withdrawn from negotiations due to the price set by Chelsea. The London club is reportedly asking for around €80 million for the Senegalese player, a figure deemed too high by the Villans. Despite this obstacle, the player wants to leave Chelsea, opening the door to other suitors in this busy summer transfer window.

Indeed, Nicolas Jackson’s agent, Diomansy Kamara, confirmed that several options remain on the table, including clubs in Germany, Italy, and England, with a transfer expected within 48 hours. The most advanced talks involve Bayern Munich, which has proposed a loan with an option to buy. This offer would include a loan fee of about €15 million and a purchase option estimated at €65 million, totaling up to the €80 million demanded by Chelsea, including a resale clause.

This financial duel appears crucial since Chelsea favors a permanent sale, whereas Bayern prefers a loan with an option, and Aston Villa, despite strong interest and a strong connection with coach Unai Emery who launched Jackson at Villarreal, does not want to match such an amount. Additionally, Aston Villa will likely have to sell some players before committing such a large sum.

At 24 years old, with 30 goals in all competitions since joining Chelsea, Nicolas Jackson is at a key point in his career. His relationship with the London club is deteriorating, and his future seems directed towards Germany with a possible challenge at Bayern Munich. The resolution of this case is highly anticipated before the transfer window closes on September 1.
