LOSC targets promising Adama Bojang to strengthen its attack in Ligue 2

After a spectacular match against Brest that ended in a 3-3 draw, LOSC continues its search for a second striker. Even with the arrival of Olivier Giroud, coach Bruno Genesio seeks to lighten his team’s offensive load to face the challenges of Ligue 1 and European competitions simultaneously. In this perspective, the northern club has set its sights on a young talent with high potential from Ligue 2.

According to revelations by Ed Aarons for The Guardian, Adama Bojang, a 21-year-old Gambian striker currently playing for Stade de Reims, is at the center of LOSC’s interests. Loaned last season to Grasshoppers in Switzerland, Bojang impressed with six goals and two assists, confirming his promising start in the first days of Ligue 2 this season. His versatile profile and youth fit perfectly with Lille’s ambitions.

However, Lille faces strong competition, notably from England and Belgium, with clubs such as West Ham, Everton, and Royal Antwerp closely following the player. Valued between 3 and 5 million euros, Bojang is under contract with Reims until 2028, which could slow negotiations. Nevertheless, LOSC hopes to finalize this transfer quickly to strengthen its squad before the market closes.

This recruitment is part of a broader strengthening movement of Lille’s squad, which has already seen the arrival of key players this season. While the club prepares for the post-Lucas Chevalier era in goal and strengthens its defense, acquiring Adama Bojang reflects LOSC’s desire to build a competitive and balanced team capable of competing on all fronts.
