After Heavy PSG Defeat, Inter Milan Targets Jackson Tchatchoua to Strengthen Right Flank

Following a crushing 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, Inter Milan is fast-tracking its search for a dynamic and effective right-back. The Italian club has set its sights on Jackson Tchatchoua, a promising Cameroonian talent from Hellas Verona, who is attracting interest from several European teams this summer transfer window.

After the harsh setback against PSG, Inter Milan seeks to quickly reinforce its defense ahead of the new season. The Lombard club, faced with insufficient performances on the right side of their defense, has identified an ideal profile: **Jackson Tchatchoua**, a 23-year-old right-back playing for Hellas Verona in Serie A.

A Cameroonian international with 10 caps, Tchatchoua emerged as one of last season’s revelations in Italy. Across 36 matches in all competitions, he scored 2 goals and provided 3 assists, impressing with his defensive solidity and ability to bring fresh attacking dynamics. Signed for just €3 million in 2024, his market value has since risen to between €8 and €20 million, making him an attractive prospect for many clubs.

Under contract until 2027, Tchatchoua has been granted permission to leave if a satisfactory offer arrives[3]. Inter Milan’s interest mainly hinges on the potential departure of current right-back Denzel Dumfries this summer.

However, competition is fierce. Premier League side Nottingham Forest has prepared a concrete offer, while Marseille and Galatasaray also closely monitor the Cameroonian’s situation. Moreover, AC Milan could join the chase despite recently signing another full-back, showing growing interest among top European clubs.

Tchatchoua’s blend of defensive reliability and offensive presence, combined with his youth and increasing Serie A experience, make him a credible candidate to strengthen Inter’s right flank, currently viewed as a weak spot.

This transfer saga will unfold in the coming weeks, amid fierce competition and club negotiations in a summer market keen on defensive reinforcements.
