Paris Saint-Germain announced on 6 November that Achraf Hakimi will be rested until the start of the international break, a decision unrelated to injury. The Moroccan will miss the visit of Troyes on Saturday.
The club’s statement, published on the eve of a Ligue 1 match, says the decision was taken with coach Luis Enrique and the sporting management. The 28-year-old full-back will not feature in the visit of Troyes, scheduled for Saturday 7 November at 21:05 at the Parc des Princes on Ligue 1 matchday 10, according to La Nouvelle Tribune and OneFootball.
PSG, top of the league with 20 points after nine matchdays, two points ahead of Lille, will therefore have to make do without him.
An official decision, not an injury
In its statement, quoted by OneFootball, the club writes: “In agreement with the coach and the sporting management, Achraf Hakimi is benefiting from a period of rest until the start of the international break”. La Nouvelle Tribune specifies that this decision is not linked to an injury.
Last weekend, Hakimi produced a huge performance against Le Havre AC, with 3 goals and 2 assists, according to OneFootball. He then played in midweek against Villarreal CF in the Champions League, a 6-0 win, featuring for more than 70 minutes in each of those two matches.
Statistics and recent history
Since the start of the season, Hakimi has made 14 appearances for PSG, 13 of them as a starter. In Ligue 1, in six matches, he has scored three goals and provided two assists, with 13 shots, two of them on target, according to La Nouvelle Tribune.
The 2025-2026 season had been marked by two injuries, in November 2025 and then in April 2026, the same outlet recalls. On an individual level, Hakimi is among the 10 nominees for the African Player of the Year title at the CAF Awards 2026, having won the trophy in 2025, reports Tell.ng.
Morocco next
After this break, Hakimi will join the Morocco national team, coached by Mohamed Ouahbi, according to La Nouvelle Tribune and OneFootball. Morocco are due to face Niger twice: on 13 November at 21:00 at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, then on 17 November at 21:00 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Nothing in the available information links this rest to preparations for those matches. The club has not announced a return date beyond the start of the international break.
