Comoros: Velud recalls Selemani, Rafiki Saïd and Boura for Congo clash!

Comoros head coach Hubert Velud has named 24 players for the double-header against Congo. Among the five recalled are Faïz Selemani of Qatar SC, Rafiki Saïd of Wolverhampton and Ismaël Boura of Troyes.

On 5 November, Comoros head coach Hubert Velud unveiled a 24-man squad for the two matches against Congo. He recalls five players, including Faïz Selemani, Rafiki Saïd and Ismaël Boura.

Faïz Selemani, the Qatar SC winger, returns to the national team after being left out in September to make room for younger players, according to the CAF. Rafiki Saïd and Ismaël Boura are also back from injury.

Five players back in the squad

Having joined Wolverhampton in July, Rafiki Saïd missed the last camp through injury. His return gives the head coach an extra option in attack.

Ismaël Boura, currently at Troyes, is also back from injury. According to the CAF, he provides another option on the left of the defence.

Saïd Bakari and Anfane Saïd Djambae also return, again according to the CAF. Along with Selemani, Rafiki Saïd and Boura, five players are therefore back in the squad.

The full squad, position by position

In goal, Amiens goalkeeper Yannick Pandor remains in the squad. In front of him, the defence includes Warmed Omari, Akim Abdallah, Kenan Toibibou and Yannis Kari.

In midfield, Zaydou Youssouf, Yacine Bourhane, Iyad Mohamed and Rayan Lutin remain the main options, according to the CAF.

Group G standings

After two matchdays, Cameroon lead Group G with 4 points, ahead of Comoros and Namibia, level on 3 points each, and Congo, who bring up the rear with 1 point, according to the standings published by the CAF.

Comoros lost their opening match against Cameroon before beating Namibia 1-0, giving them 3 points from two matchdays. Congo, bottom of the group, are their next opponents.

The schedule first brings a home fixture: on 13 November 2026, Comoros will host Congo at the Malouzini stadium. The return match will take place four days later, on 17 November, in Brazzaville, at the Alphonse-Massamba-Débat stadium.
