A group A already firmly under control

The stars in confident form
Hakimi arrives in flying form. The Paris Saint-Germain right-back scored a hat-trick and provided two assists in the 5-1 win over Le Havre, a performance rewarded with a 10/10 in the Ligue 1 matchday 9 team of the week put together by Hespress. He is also nominated for the 2026 African Player of the Year award, as is Brahim Díaz, according to the official PSG and Real Madrid websites.
L’Équipe presents him as the favourite to succeed himself, pointing in particular to a new European title with PSG. That assessment remains that of the sports daily.
Aguerd is not to be outdone: the player was given a 8/10 rating for his performance against Toulouse (2-0) and features in the team of the week, according to Hespress. Bounou, for his part, is nominated for the 2026 African Goalkeeper of the Year award, which he has already won in 2023 and 2025, recall Le360 Sport and Foot Africa.
En-Nesyri’s return and the CAF Awards deadline

The CAF Awards ceremony will be held on 7 December 2026 in Lagos. Hakimi and Díaz are nominated there for the African Player of the Year title, Bounou for that of African Goalkeeper of the Year.
