Esteghlal: agent demands $75,000 from company owned by Mosimane’s wife!

Football agent Hamed Ghadiri is demanding nearly $75,000 from MT Sports Marketing and Management, the company run by Moira Tlhagale, wife of Pitso Mosimane, the South Africa national team coach. The sum relates to negotiations conducted with Iran’s Esteghlal.

The case has been brought before the High Court in Johannesburg. According to the Sunday Times, as reported by Dailysports, the agent is claiming nearly $75,000, around 1.25 million rand, from MT Sports Marketing and Management. The dispute concerns negotiations conducted with the Iranian club Esteghlal.

According to the same source, the company is said to have appointed Hamed Ghadiri in October 2024 to open initial talks with Esteghlal over the recruitment of Pitso Mosimane and his staff. The agent claims the Iranian club was to pay $100,000 to intermediaries, of which $75,000 was due to him. He says he never received the promised sum.

Proceedings before the High Court

Hamed Ghadiri’s action goes beyond a financial claim. The agent is asking the court to order the production of case documents and bank statements, again according to Dailysports. The proceedings are being held before the High Court in Johannesburg, and the outcome of the case remains to be seen.

The amount and the split of the $100,000 are Hamed Ghadiri’s claims, as reported by the Sunday Times and Dailysports. These are allegations that the court will have to examine.

The October 2024 mandate

The case dates back to October 2024, when MT Sports Marketing and Management is said to have tasked Hamed Ghadiri with conducting the initial negotiations with Esteghlal. The company, run by Moira Tlhagale, is directly targeted by the claim. Pitso Mosimane is involved in respect of the recruitment in question, which also covered his staff.

The sum claimed, around $75,000, would correspond to the agent’s share of the $100,000 earmarked for intermediaries. Hamed Ghadiri says he never received that sum and is demanding the case documents as well as the bank statements.

A case that remains open

The case comes as Pitso Mosimane’s name is linked to negotiations with Esteghlal, and as his wife’s company is directly targeted by the claim. The facts reported remain Hamed Ghadiri’s claims.

The proceedings before the High Court in Johannesburg are still to come, and no outcome is yet known at this stage.
