Lassine Sinayoko, the Paris FC and Mali national team forward, scored twice against Monaco (3-1) to move to the top of the Ligue 1 scoring charts with 8 goals. He left the pitch in the 80th minute with a knock to his left leg.
On Sunday 1 November 2026, Paris FC beat AS Monaco 3-1 on matchday 9 of Ligue 1. Lassine Sinayoko, the 26-year-old Malian forward, scored a brace before setting up a goal, according to RMC Sport.
He left the pitch in the 80th minute, replaced by Omar Sissoko to ovations at the Stade Jean-Bouin. His exit comes as the Mali national team squad is due to be announced on 2 November.
Two goals in six minutes
Two moments were enough for the former Auxerre man to shape the game. In the 38th minute, played perfectly through in behind by Moses Simon, the Paris FC forward opened the scoring. Six minutes later, in the 44th, he doubled the lead from a Maxime Lopez pass, according to RMC Sport.
Fielded up front alongside Moses Simon and Ilan Kebbal, with forward Pablo Pagis in support, the Malian turned provider shortly after the hour mark: in the 74th, after a mazy run into the opposition box, he set up Pablo Pagis, who scored the third goal.
His left-leg injury will need monitoring before Mali’s training camp, with Da Silva’s squad list due to be announced on 2 November.
Eight goals in nine matches
With this latest performance, Lassine Sinayoko takes his tally to 8 goals in 9 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, including a hat-trick and two braces, according to RMC Sport. He therefore moves to the top of the league’s scoring charts.
The Malian is ahead of Esteban Lepaul (7 goals, Rennes), Elye Wahi (6, Nice) and Cameron Archer (6, Auxerre), all behind him. The first PSG player in the standings, Ferran Torres, has 4 goals.
A return to the Abbé-Deschamps
The next chapter comes on Saturday at the Abbé-Deschamps, on matchday 10 of Ligue 1. Paris FC will take on AJ Auxerre, the club where Lassine Sinayoko came through the ranks and from which he was signed this summer for €7.5 million.
Trained at AJA, he scored 12 goals in 32 matches for Auxerre last season. On Saturday he could therefore face his former club, provided his injury does not prevent it.
On the international stage, Lassine Sinayoko has 32 caps and 10 goals for Mali, according to RMC Sport.
