FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are tracking Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, the Moroccan winger at Real Betis, according to journalist Ekrem Konur. No official financial offer has yet been submitted to the Andalusian club.
The news was revealed on 23 October 2026 by transfer journalist Ekrem Konur, and picked up by Le360 Sport: FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are showing a strong interest in Abdessamad Ezzalzouli. The 24-year-old Moroccan international left winger at Real Betis is delighting his club with his driving dribbles in La Liga and on the European stage.
Nothing, however, suggests this is an advanced case. According to the information published, no official financial offer has been submitted to Real Betis Sevilla, and the lead remains a rumour at this stage.
A €60 million clause
The case has a price, and it is known: Ezzalzouli’s contract with the Andalusian club includes a formal release clause set at €60 million. According to Le360 Sport, Real Betis intend to enforce their player’s contractual value in the event of a foreign approach.
Betis can count on a player who has clearly made an athletic and technical step up in recent international windows with Morocco. Trained at La Masia, Ezzalzouli was later transferred to Sevilla.
Flick, a fan of the Moroccan’s duels
On the Barcelona side, the interest does not come out of nowhere. FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has been full of praise for the Moroccan in recent days, calling him a fantastic player in duels.
The link with Barcelona also rests on a particular history: the Catalan club has strong ties and priority clauses negotiated when the player moved to Sevilla. All levers Barça could use if an approach materialises.
In Paris, Kvaratskhelia’s knee
At Paris Saint-Germain, the thinking stems from a different context. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s serious knee injury has accelerated the search for a major reinforcement on the left wing, Le360 Sport reports. Ezzalzouli, a left winger, plays in the position concerned, although the sources do not establish a cause-and-effect link between that injury and the lead to the Moroccan.
The Parisian club must contend with the supposed competition from FC Barcelona and Betis’s determination to enforce their player’s value. The next milestone is known: the opening of negotiations ahead of the winter transfer window, in January 2027, where the Moroccan’s name is top of the list of potential targets.
