Al Ahly: agreement with Ibrahim Adel, Nordsjaelland demand double!

Al Ahly have reached an agreement with Ibrahim Adel, but Nordsjaelland are demanding $3 million instead of the planned $1.5 million, according to AfricaFoot. The Egyptian winger’s transfer remains blocked for the time being.

Al Ahly are actively preparing their move for Ibrahim Adel ahead of the January 2027 winter transfer window. According to AfricaFoot, the Cairo club have reached a direct contractual agreement with the 25-year-old Egypt international, who plays for FC Nordsjaelland.

But the deal has hit a snag: the Danish club are demanding $3 million, double the sum agreed between the player and Al Ahly, estimated at $1.5 million. Talks are continuing to bridge the gap.

An agreement already in place with the player

According to AfricaFoot, Ibrahim Adel has found common ground on the broad outlines of salary and contract terms with the Cairo hierarchy. The 25-year-old winger, who made his name at Pyramids FC before joining Nordsjaelland, could thus return to Egypt.

The $1.5 million valuation forms the basis of the agreement between the player and Al Ahly. But the owning club, FC Nordsjaelland, see things differently and are currently blocking the transaction.

The Danish club are demanding double, $3 million, to release their winger. A $1.5 million gap that forces Al Ahly to continue negotiations with the Nordsjaelland management.

An already well-filled career

Ibrahim Adel already boasts a substantial CV: according to Footballdatabase.eu, he has made 229 appearances and scored 52 goals over the course of his professional career. After making his name at Pyramids FC, he now plays for the Danish side Nordsjaelland.

The winger is also a regular fixture in the Pharaohs’ ranks at major continental and world tournaments. He was among the 26 Egyptian players selected by Hossam Hassan for the 2026 World Cup, as reported by Seneweb.

Heading for January 2027

Al Ahly are therefore continuing their negotiations with the Nordsjaelland hierarchy in order to close the $1.5 million gap before the winter transfer window opens. The transfer is not yet finalised.

The deadline is known: January 2027, when the winter transfer window opens its doors. By then, the Cairo hierarchy will have to find an agreement with the Danish club if they want to sign Ibrahim Adel.

For now, the player remains the property of Nordsjaelland, who have not accepted the $1.5 million valuation.
