Feyenoord: Hadj Moussa takes on Betis, Titraoui expected in Bruges!

Algerian winger Anis Hadj Moussa starts for Feyenoord in Seville against Real Betis, while Yacine Titraoui and RC Lens travel to Club Bruges at 21:00.

Three Algeria internationals are in Champions League action this Wednesday, 21 October 2026. Anis Hadj Moussa starts for Feyenoord Rotterdam against Real Betis on their own patch in Seville, while Yacine Titraoui plays for RC Lens in a highly charged derby at Club Bruges. Both Champions League games kick off at 21:00 (20:00 local time).

The evening puts the spotlight on a 24-year-old international right winger who has already caught the eye this season.

Hadj Moussa, Feyenoord’s attacking weapon

Ahead of Seville, Hadj Moussa can point to two recent displays: a sparkling performance against Como on the previous European matchday and a big game against Telstar (4-3) on matchday 9 of the Eredivisie. His election as the best player in the Dutch league in September, reported by Foot Afrique, adds to that record.

Bruges fire the first shots before Lens

In Bruges, the build-up was spiced up by the home camp. Defender Joaquin Seys said Lens “do not have any absolutely world-class players in their ranks, but the team still has a lot of quality”, according to Foot Afrique.

Speaking to Foot Afrique, Club Bruges’ Croatian coach Ivan Leko backed up that assessment: “Are Lens one of our least fearsome opponents? Honestly, I don’t agree. They may not have the reputation of Inter or Liverpool, but after watching four or five games, I started to realise that they are a very solid opponent. Better than I imagined. They don’t have world-class players, but they have a lot of quality and a very solid press.”

Yacine Titraoui, the RC Lens midfielder and Algeria international, is expected to feature at Bruges in a tense derby atmosphere.

Bentaleb first up, what comes next

Before those two 21:00 games, a third Algerian representative is in action earlier in the evening. Nabil Bentaleb, the LOSC Lille midfielder, faces Galatasaray at 18:45, according to Foot Afrique, as reported by Sport News Africa. That match opens the schedule for the Algerians involved in the Champions League.

Real Betis, Feyenoord’s opponents in Seville, are chasing a third win in three Champions League games. They are led in particular by Morocco’s Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, according to Afrik-Foot.
