Luka Modric is 40. His departure looks set for the end of the season. And AC Milan are already looking for someone to hold the midfield after him. Among the names on the list, one stands out from the rest: Adem Zorgane.
According to journalist Niccolò Ceccarini, in his column for Tuttomercatoweb, the Union Saint-Gilloise midfielder and Algeria international is among the profiles being studied by the Rossoneri. He shares that list with Alex Scott (Bournemouth) and Yasin Ayari (Brighton). Be careful, though: no concrete contact and no offer have been mentioned at this stage. Put simply, Milan are watching, but not moving yet.
From Charleroi to San Siro?
A product of the Paradou AC academy, Zorgane spent four seasons at Charleroi, eventually inheriting the captain’s armband, before joining Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer of 2025. He quickly established himself as one of the safe bets in the Brussels side’s midfield.
His contract expiry date and the Belgian club’s asking price remain unknown. Before him, Djamel Mesbah and above all Ismaël Bennacer wore the Rossoneri shirt. The Fennec, for his part, is only at the shortlist stage, and competition from Scott and Ayari will not be easy to see off.
