Mohammed Kudus, the Tottenham and Ghana forward, was named man of the match and rated 8/10 against Crystal Palace. Omar Marmoush, the Egyptian forward at Spurs, was given a 5/10 and could be left on the bench at Leeds on Saturday.
Tottenham are moving forward. The 2-0 win over Crystal Palace gave Spurs a third successive victory, their first since February 2025 according to OneFootball and OffsAIde. In that match, Mohammed Kudus was named man of the match and rated 8/10. His assist for the goal by Archie Gray, the Tottenham midfielder, in the 25th minute was followed by a goal ruled out for offside.
Omar Marmoush’s evening, playing as a number 10 against Crystal Palace, was more mixed. The Egyptian forward was given a 5/10 by the same source, and Yahoo Sports notes that he has scored just one goal in eight matches for Tottenham. With the trip to Leeds only days away, questions are being asked about his place in the starting XI.
Kudus, provider and man of the match
Against Crystal Palace, Kudus was Tottenham’s most prominent player, according to the ratings published by OneFootball and OffsAIde. His assist for Archie Gray’s goal shows his direct involvement in the attacking play, before a goal of his own was ruled out for offside. The Ghanaian thus contributed to Spurs’ third consecutive win, a first since February 2025 according to the same sources.
Coached by Roberto De Zerbi, Tottenham rely on this kind of individual contribution. Kudus, rated 8/10, was a key figure in that run of wins, although the sources consulted do not give further statistics for him.
Marmoush, one goal in eight matches
For his part, Omar Marmoush has more modest numbers. Yahoo Sports reports that the Egyptian international has found the net only once in eight matches for Tottenham. His performance as a number 10 against Crystal Palace earned him a 5/10, again according to OneFootball and OffsAIde.
Competition for places could intensify before the trip to Leeds. According to OneFootball and The 4th Official, Conor Gallagher, the Tottenham midfielder, could start on Saturday, which would push Marmoush to the bench. This is, however, a probable line-up put together by the press rather than an official decision: the Egyptian’s presence among the substitutes is still to be confirmed.
Leeds, the third-best defence in the Premier League
The next opponents will not make Roberto De Zerbi’s task any easier. Yahoo Sports points out that Leeds have the third-best defence in the Premier League in terms of goals conceded. Tottenham will therefore have to find a way through a defensively solid side, with Kudus among the players to watch in attack.
Leeds United v Tottenham is scheduled for Saturday 7 November, in the Premier League.
