Togo: Faad Sana cleared, Brassier and Denkey in squad for Algeria!

Togo head coach Patrice Neveu has announced that Faad Sana’s administrative paperwork has been cleared, and has named a 25-man squad for the double header against Algeria, including Lilian Brassier and Kevin Denkey.

On Tuesday 3 November, at a press conference, Togo head coach Patrice Neveu announced that Faad Sana’s administrative file had finally been cleared, according to CSPORTS Infos. The NS Mura player, based in Slovenia, had missed the first two matchdays of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers because of administrative issues.

The coach then named a 25-man squad for the double header against Algeria, scheduled for 14 and 17 November. Faad Sana is included, as are defender Lilian Brassier, described by Africa Top Sports as the national team’s “new European rock”, and striker Kevin Denkey. Togo can therefore count on them for this double fixture.

Sana, a file finally completed

Faad Sana, who plays for NS Mura in Slovenia, has therefore seen his file completed, in the coach’s words. “Faad Sana’s file has been completed, legalised,” Patrice Neveu told the press, as quoted by CSPORTS Infos. Togo thus regain a player who was absent from the first two matchdays of the 2027 AFCON qualifiers.

Patrice Neveu also thanked those involved in the file. “Thanks to the authorities and to all the members who took part,” he added, according to the same source. The Sparrowhawks were without this player for the first two matchdays of the qualifying campaign.

Brassier and Denkey in the squad

Beyond the Sana case, the 25-man list confirms the presence of expected profiles. Lilian Brassier, a defender and Togo’s new European recruit, is among those selected. Africa Top Sports describes him as the national team’s “new European rock”.

Up front, Kevin Denkey is also among the 25 selected to face Algeria twice within a few days.

Two fixtures in November

The 2027 AFCON qualifying schedule includes two meetings with Algeria. Algeria – Togo is played on 14 November, then Togo – Algeria on 17 November, three days later.

Faad Sana is also among the 25 selected, alongside Brassier and Denkey, for this double fixture.
