Bournemouth: Arsenal and PSG set their sights on Eli Junior Kroupi!

According to The Mirror, Arsenal have made Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi their target for the winter transfer window. Paris Saint-Germain are also mentioned, though their interest is unconfirmed.

Eli Junior Kroupi, 20, the Bournemouth striker, is at the centre of a transfer rumour. According to The Mirror, relayed by OneFootball, Arsenal have made him their target to strengthen their attack in the winter window. The information is unconfirmed at this stage: the story mentions neither a fee, nor a clause, nor a contract length.

Paris Saint-Germain are also among the clubs cited by the British daily, reports Footmercato. The Paris coach Luis Enrique confirmed that the club remain “alert to opportunities” in the attacking department, weakened by the injury to Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia, without naming Kroupi.

A return after two months out

Last season, Kroupi scored 13 goals in 33 appearances in a Bournemouth shirt, with the club finishing sixth in the Premier League, according to OneFootball. Those numbers explain the reported interest from the Gunners.

His progress has nevertheless been checked: a foot injury picked up in pre-season required surgery and two months on the sidelines at the start of the 2026-27 season. The striker has only just returned, which makes any projection of a January departure premature.

Arsenal short of firepower

The Gunners’ attacking need is central to the link. Again according to OneFootball, Arsenal signed only one striker last summer, Christos Tzolis (Club Brugge, £34m), and Viktor Gyökeres has scored just one goal in 11 appearances in all competitions this season.

Yet the Kroupi link, as presented by The Mirror, goes no further than interest. No fee, no clause and no contract length were mentioned in the reports.

Paris lurking, without certainty

On the Paris side, Luis Enrique was asked whether signings were needed after Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia’s injury. His answer, reported by Footmercato, does not mention Kroupi: “No, not particularly. No injury means you have to sign new players. At the start of the season I said we could cope with anything, even though there will be important injuries. But we remain alert to opportunities. That is a possibility we have.”

Those comments concern the attacking department in general, without naming any player. Quoting them as confirmation of interest in the Bournemouth striker would be a shortcut the sources do not allow.

The report states that a decision is expected between Arsenal and PSG over Kroupi, without specifying a date or an outcome.
