BK Häcken: Abdoulaye Doumbia, 19, tracked by eleven European clubs

Ivorian midfielder Abdoulaye Doumbia (19), under contract with BK Häcken since January 2026, is being monitored by eleven European clubs, according to AfricaFoot. France, England, Germany and Belgium are in the running.

A name that keeps coming up in recruitment notebooks. Abdoulaye Doumbia, a 19-year-old Ivorian midfielder, is attracting glances from several clubs on the Old Continent, just weeks before the January 2027 transfer window opens. According to AfricaFoot, cited by Yahoo Sports, no fewer than eleven clubs have come to watch him this season.

The player has been at BK Häcken since January 2026, after coming through the ranks at ASEC Mimosas, reports Voetbalprimeur.be. At just 19, he has established himself in the Swedish club’s midfield and now attracts interest from French, English, German and Belgian sides.

A well-stocked list of suitors

According to Voetbalprimeur.be, Sunderland, Everton and Coventry are following the Ivorian in England, while Strasbourg, Paris FC, Nice and RC Lens are among the interested clubs in France. The Belgian daily adds the names of Bayer Leverkusen, Freiburg and Celtic, as well as Club Bruges.

Yahoo Sports also mentions Trabzonspor as a possible destination for the young midfielder. The figure of eleven clubs monitoring the player comes from AfricaFoot, relayed by the same outlet. Suffice to say the competition looks fierce for his signature.

At Club Bruges, however, no concrete move is known at this stage, Voetbalprimeur.be specifies. The Belgian interest therefore remains to be confirmed, unlike the monitoring carried out by the other clubs mentioned.

Stats that speak for themselves

On the pitch, Abdoulaye Doumbia has made 26 appearances for Häcken, with 2 goals and 3 assists, according to Yahoo Sports. In the league, he missed only two matches, both through suspension after accumulating yellow cards.

That availability partly explains the attention paid to his profile. Trained at ASEC Mimosas, he joined Sweden in January 2026 and quickly established himself as a regular starter, something European scouts have not missed.

A story to follow in January

The next transfer window opens in January 2027, and Doumbia’s suitors could then go on the offensive. For now, no negotiations are mentioned in the available sources, and his future at Häcken remains open.

It remains to be seen whether the Swedish club will resist the approaches. The Doumbia saga is only just beginning.
