Ayyoub Bouaddi, 18, played at the 2026 World Cup with Morocco. A Manchester City midfielder, he spoke on the Uncut show, produced by the Premier League and EA SPORTS FC, as reported by Le360 in its English edition.

He featured in five matches at the tournament, against Brazil, Scotland, the Netherlands, Canada and France. Before Manchester City, he had played in the Champions League with Lille. He now says he is ready to take part in the competition again in 2030, co-hosted by Morocco, Spain and Portugal.

A World Cup apart

Bouaddi has played the Champions League with Lille, then with Manchester City. He calls those competitions “extraordinary”, but, in his view, “the World Cup is different”. “When I played the World Cup with Morocco, I felt something unique,” he told Uncut.

The 18-year-old describes the atmosphere surrounding the tournament: “The smiles, the love and the pride of an entire people… It was the best experience of my life.”

Giving back to the Moroccan people

Bouaddi says he wants to take part in the competition again with Morocco: “Of course, I would love to play in this competition again with Morocco.” His goal is to “make the Moroccan people proud of us, of the whole team”.

He is conscious of what he owes the supporters: “Because we will never be able to give them back everything they have given us. It is far too much.”

Targeting 2030

At 18, Bouaddi has therefore already experienced a World Cup. The next date he is eyeing is 2030, co-hosted by Morocco, Spain and Portugal. He says he is ready to be part of it.

At club level he plays for Manchester City, where he has already played in the Champions League.
