AC Milan: Alphadjo Cissé, a hat-trick and already a contract extension in the pipeline!

  • EN, Guinea

After scoring a hat-trick against RB Salzburg, the 19-year-old Guinean attacking midfielder Alphadjo Cissé is already the subject of an approach from AC Milan to extend and improve his contract, with talks planned for next week.

On 15 October 2026, Alphadjo Cissé scored three goals from four shots on target in AC Milan’s 4-0 win away at RB Salzburg in the Europa League. At 19 years and 358 days, he became the youngest Italian player to score a hat-trick in a major European cup competition. According to OneFootball and Calciomio, he wiped out Nicolò Tresoldi’s record and Alessandro Del Piero’s historic mark.

The day after that evening, as Milan prepare for their next Serie A match, Goal.com and Tuttomercatoweb report that the club has taken concrete steps to extend and improve the young attacking midfielder’s contract. Direct talks with his entourage are scheduled for next week, with the aim of finalising before the end of 2026. No official signing has yet been announced.

A hat-trick that made history

Against RB Salzburg, Cissé showed ruthless efficiency in a comfortable Europa League win for the Rossoneri. The hat-trick comes amid an already well-filled career path.

Signed in January from Hellas Verona, he finished the 2025-2026 season on loan at Catanzaro in Serie B, where he scored 6 goals in 22 league matches, according to African-Football. With Milan’s first team, he already has 5 goals in 7 official appearances this season.

Milan’s head coach, Rúben Amorim, is full of praise: “He plays with a certain madness on the pitch, and I particularly appreciate that passion and that madness in him. He is not only our current driving force, but will also be an important part of our future plans.” Those comments were reported by All Football.

The outlines of an extension

According to Goal.com, Milan plans to add a further guaranteed season as well as a one-year option to Cissé’s current contract. On the salary front, the player, who currently earns 800,000 euros a year, would see his wages rise immediately to between 1.2 and 1.3 million euros plus bonuses for the 2026-2027 season, then around 1.5 million the following season.

A step-by-step progression would then lead to 2.5 million, then 3 million euros a year. These figures, reported by the press, should be treated with caution: no signing has taken place and talks are due to open next week with the player’s entourage.

According to African-Football, Atalanta, AS Roma and PSV Eindhoven were already monitoring his progress.

Focus on the next Serie A match

While awaiting the opening of talks, Cissé and his team-mates are focusing on the next Serie A match, scheduled for this weekend.

For Milan, the challenge now is to finalise the agreement before the end of 2026. The next appointment is therefore twofold: this weekend’s match and the opening of negotiations next week.
