Morocco: FRMF sets November schedule, Ouahbi names his squad on the 5th!

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has confirmed the dates for the November camp: Mohamed Ouahbi’s squad list on the 5th, the training camp in Maâmora on the 9th, then Niger on 13 and 17 November in the CAN 2027 qualifiers.

The CAN 2027 qualifiers are entering a new phase for the Atlas Lions. In a statement published on 16 October 2026, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) set out the full schedule for the November camp, which is set to take the Morocco national team into a double-header against Niger, according to Times Morocco.

National team coach Mohamed Ouahbi therefore knows his schedule: he will unveil the official squad list on Thursday 5 November 2026. The called-up players will then meet from Monday 9 November at the Mohammed VI Complex in Maâmora for a preparation camp, before getting down to business.

Rabat first, return on the 17th

The first leg will be played on Friday 13 November 2026 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Complex in Rabat. Three days later, Mohamed Ouahbi’s men will play the second leg, scheduled for Tuesday 17 November 2026.

For the Morocco national team, this camp therefore spans nearly two weeks, between the announcement of the squad and the final whistle of the return leg. A classic international window sequence, whose outcome will count for the rest of the qualifying campaign.

A place at the top to confirm

Morocco go into these two fixtures top of Group A with 6 points, according to Times Morocco. The Atlas Lions won their first two qualifiers, against Gabon and then Lesotho.

Their last outing, in early October, nevertheless left a sense of unfinished business: Morocco were held to a 1-1 draw by Mali. According to Afrik-Foot, that result dropped the national team to 7th in the FIFA ranking, after briefly occupying the world top 5.

Next stop Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania

These matches are part of the race towards the CAN 2027 finals, jointly hosted by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. A continental competition with three host countries, with qualification still to be secured for Morocco.
