RC Strasbourg transfer news: why Guéla Doué could open the door to a move this summer

RC Strasbourg are not ruling out a departure for Guéla Doué during the summer transfer window, provided they receive an offer deemed high enough. According to several consistent reports, the Alsatian club and BlueCo do not want to part with their captain at any price, as the Ivorian right-back remains under contract until June 2029 and is among the most valuable assets in the squad.

Noticed at Strasbourg for his energy, consistency, and ability to keep up repeated efforts down the right flank, the former Rennes player has attracted the attention of several Premier League clubs. Everton appears to be one of the most persistent suitors, but Newcastle has also reportedly added his name to its shortlist in search of a reliable option at right-back, while AC Milan is also following the case with interest.

From Strasbourg’s point of view, the message is clear: there is no question of selling Guéla Doué cheaply. Transfer sources suggest a high valuation, around €25 million to €30 million according to estimates reported in recent months, which reflects both his sporting importance and his significant room for development. Signed in the summer of 2024 for about €6 million, the 22-year-old defender has quickly confirmed that he can perform at a higher level.

Strasbourg also hopes the next World Cup could push his market value even higher, especially if the Ivorian international stands out with the Elephants. In that context, a move this summer is not impossible, but it would only happen for a premium price in a transfer story that could significantly shape RC Strasbourg’s window.
