Christ Tapé: the 20-year-old Ivorian prospect set to join Stade de Reims for €3M?

Stade de Reims are actively positioning themselves in the transfer market to strengthen their defense. The Champagne-based club is targeting Christ Tapé, a 20-year-old Ivorian left-back currently playing for AC Horsens in the Danish second division.

Versatile and also capable of playing as a center-back, the talented U23 international stands out for his pace, athleticism, and defensive qualities. Reims see him as the ideal replacement for Abdoul Koné.

Having joined Horsens in July 2024 from CO Korhogo on a contract running until 2028, Tapé has already made 25 appearances this season, with an average rating of 6.81 according to FotMob.

Initially valued at just €850,000 on specialist platforms, his market value is rapidly rising thanks to his impressive performances: 19 starts, 1,767 minutes played, and strong defensive consistency. Horsens’ African scouting director has confirmed that several attractive offers are already on the table.

Competition is expected to be fierce for Reims. Alongside Standard de Liège and Slavia Prague, clubs such as RC Lens, Torino FC, and even AS Saint-Étienne are closely monitoring the Ivorian prospect.

Horsens are reportedly asking between €2 and €3 million — a significant fee for Reims, who will need to move quickly to outpace both European and domestic rivals.

With his rapid development and exemplary attitude, Christ Tapé has all the attributes to succeed in top leagues. This move could represent an ambitious signing for Reims, even in Ligue 2, and propel the young Ivorian toward a bright future in Ligue 1 or beyond.

The situation remains open — but the battle is heating up.
