Free since the end of his contract with Al-Duhail in Qatar in May 2025, 32-year-old Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech could make his return to the Dutch league. After leaving the Qatari league where he played only five months, the attacking midfielder is looking for a new opportunity to revive his on-field career.
Trained in the Netherlands, notably at Heerenveen before establishing himself at Ajax Amsterdam between 2016 and 2020, Ziyech is a player valued for his creativity and experience. PSV Eindhoven is very interested in his services to compensate for the long absence of Ruud van Bommel, who suffered a serious injury. The right winger already knows coach Peter Bosz, which could ease his adaptation at PSV.
During his career, Ziyech has also played for Chelsea in the Premier League and Galatasaray in Turkey before his time at Al-Duhail. Internationally, he has 64 caps and 25 goals with Morocco. This return to the Netherlands would offer an opportunity to regain a familiar and competitive environment where he could fully exploit his technical skills and leadership.
Estimated at around 4.5 million euros according to Transfermarkt, Ziyech’s transfer to PSV would be a major move for the Dutch club aiming to strengthen its squad for the second half of the season. Among several options mentioned, PSV appears to be the most concrete candidate at this time, with negotiations ongoing to finalize this eagerly awaited return by Dutch supporters.
