The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially scheduled the 2025 Africa Super Cup final between Pyramids FC and RS Berkane for Saturday, October 18. The match will take place at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo, home of the Egyptian champions, who will have the privilege of hosting this top continental football showdown.
Pyramids FC, the recent historic winner of the CAF Champions League, will be competing in this final for the first time after their memorable triumph over South African team Mamelodi Sundowns (3-2 on aggregate). On the other hand, RS Berkane, champions of the CAF Confederation Cup, are well known for their strength on the continental stage, having won the Super Cup in 2022 and contested several major finals in recent years.
This season, RS Berkane is in excellent form with convincing wins in Botola Pro, further boosting their confidence before facing Pyramids FC, an ambitious team eager to add a new trophy to their record, led by Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić. He has already made history as the first Croatian coach to win the CAF Champions League.
The October 18 final also marks the return of the Africa Super Cup to the home ground of the Champions League winner, a tradition CAF is renewing after several editions held on neutral ground. Egyptian supporters hope to see their local club shine in front of their fans, while Berkane will attempt to repeat their continental success, in a match expected to be intense and full of emotion.
