Tottenham ready to pull out all the stops for Lamine Camara this winter

Under contract with AS Monaco until 2029, Lamine Camara, a young 21-year-old Senegalese midfielder, is starting to attract strong interest across Europe. Having made a notable start to the Ligue 1 season with two assists in two matches, he is now on the radar of a major English club: Tottenham Hotspur, who are considering making a 25 million euro offer during the winter transfer window to secure his services.

Camara’s versatile and physical profile, able to play in various midfield positions, particularly appeals to the Spurs. His rapid development since his early days in Senegal, then Metz, before his transfer to Monaco in 2024, places him as a key element in Monaco’s sporting project. Tottenham sees him as a reinforcement capable of bringing energy and solidity to the midfield, especially to cover a potential departure of Yves Bissouma, whom the club might want to part ways with.

The London club has already sent scouts to watch his performances live, showing serious interest. However, the amount proposed seems insufficient to Monaco’s management, who want to secure their midfield prodigy and expect a higher offer. Meanwhile, other prestigious European clubs such as Chelsea, Liverpool, and even Turkish teams like Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are also monitoring him, which could complicate Camara’s swift move to the Premier League.

Lamine Camara represents a long-term investment, with a contract running until 2029, giving Monaco room to negotiate. For Tottenham, this is a strategic opportunity to add a promising young talent, aligned with the vision of their new coach Thomas Frank, who aims to strengthen the squad by combining experience and youth to target European places and upcoming trophies. Attention is now focused on the winter transfer window, which promises to be decisive for the future of this deal.
