  • EN, Ghana

Kojo Peprah Oppong, a 21-year-old Ghanaian central defender, was officially presented at OGC Nice at the start of the 2025/2026 season. Signed for €2.68 million from Swedish club Norrköping, he comes to strengthen a defense affected by several absences. With an athletic and promising profile, he is seen as a key reinforcement for a demanding Ligue 1 season.

After weeks of negotiations between Nice and Norrköping, the transfer was finalized as part of the club’s strategy to solidify its central defense. Kojo Peprah Oppong will bring both youth and height, along with good ball-playing abilities. He will wear the number 37 jersey for his first season with the Aiglons.

OGC Nice’s management praised the player’s determination to quickly adapt to his new environment. Fabrice Bocquet, the general manager, highlighted that his profile and ambition perfectly match the club’s and coach Franck Haise’s expectations. The task is particularly important as the team copes with several injuries in defense.

Coming from a first-division Swedish team, Kojo Peprah Oppong is part of the young African talents making their mark in Europe. His integration at Nice will be closely watched by fans and analysts, who expect him to help strengthen OGC Nice’s defense this season.
