The move, worth around €3.5 million, highlights the growing reputation of the 27-year-old whose career has continued to progress steadily across Europe.

Candé started his European career at FC Metz in France, before moving on loan to Venezia FC during the 2024-2025 season. With 17 appearances in Serie B, he gained valuable experience in Italian football, paving the way for his promotion to Serie A with Sassuolo.

Standing 1.84 meters tall, Candé is known for his aerial strength, defensive composure, and solid passing ability. Sassuolo see him as a key reinforcement to stabilize their backline, bringing both physical presence and tactical discipline to a competitive league.

This transfer is also a significant milestone for Guinea-Bissau football. Already a pillar of his national team, Candé’s progress underlines the importance of African players in European football. Now, all eyes will be on his performances in Serie A, as he takes on this crucial step with Sassuolo.
