Confirmed transfer: Hamza Igamane commits to LOSC to strengthen the attack in 2025-2026

LOSC has officially reached a preliminary agreement with Glasgow Rangers for the transfer of the young Moroccan striker Hamza Igamane, aged 22. According to information confirmed by several sources, Lille will pay approximately 12 million euros to secure the services of this promising goal scorer, who has signed a five-year contract until 2030, with an additional option. Igamane is expected to arrive in Lille this Thursday to undergo his medical exam and finalize his arrival before making his Ligue 1 debut.

The transfer of the Moroccan prodigy follows an outstanding season with Rangers, where he played 49 matches across all competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing 3 assists. His versatile profile allows him to play as a central striker, as support, or on the left side of the attack. With this signing, LOSC aims to provide a credible alternative to Olivier Giroud, to establish effective rotation and prepare for the future on the northern club’s offensive front.

Negotiations between the two clubs began several weeks earlier and were marked by an initial request of 15 million euros. Ultimately, a compromise around 12 million euros was reached, also approved by the player who was attracted by Lille’s sporting project. His decision to join Lille was accelerated by recent tensions in Glasgow, including a conflict with the coach and a clear desire for a change of environment.

This transfer highlights LOSC’s growing strength in the international young talent market and confirms the club’s ambition to play an important role in Ligue 1 and European competitions. Hamza Igamane is expected to be a major asset for the 2025-2026 season, offering the club a new offensive weapon and medium-term development potential behind the experience of Olivier Giroud.
