Fahd Moufi’s Russian adventure begins: two seasons at FK Orenburg !

Fahd Moufi has officially taken the next step in his career. Following a brief stint at Wydad AC in Casablanca, the Moroccan right-back has signed a two-year contract with FK Orenburg, a team competing in the Russian Premier League. The transfer, confirmed on August 9th, 2025, marks Moufi’s return to European football and underscores his desire to revive his career at the highest level.

Developed at FC Mulhouse and the Olympique Lyonnais academy, Moufi has garnered valuable experience in France, Portugal (CD Tondela, Portimonense), Croatia (Hajduk Split), and Morocco. While his time at Wydad was short—comprising just 15 matches, including Club World Cup appearances—he wasn’t in the plans of Wydad’s new coach and opted for a fresh start in Russia.

At Orenburg, Moufi faces a new challenge in a league known for its tactical discipline and physical intensity. His international background and market value of €1million highlight his reputation and capabilities, positioning him as a strong addition to Orenburg’s defensive lineup.

FK Orenburg is betting on Moufi’s experience to strengthen their back line. At 29 years old, the Moroccan defender aims to impress in Russian football and help his new club climb the Premier League table. This move offers Moufi fresh opportunities and a prominent platform for the next two seasons, as he makes his mark in Orenburg until 2027.
