After the rejection of a first proposal of 42 million euros (+3 million in bonuses) by Atalanta Bergamo, Inter Milan is preparing a more ambitious second offer to secure the services of Ademola Lookman.
The Nerazzurri club, determined to complete the transfer, now plans a total offer that could reach 50 million euros, including bonuses, to meet the demands of the Bergamo club, which remains firm on its price. This amount represents the valuation demanded by Atalanta, which aims to sell its Nigerian forward at the best price, ideally abroad.
The 27-year-old striker, who has already reached a contractual agreement with Inter until June 2030 for a net annual salary of about 4.5 million euros plus bonuses, is particularly eager to leave Atalanta. His frustration with his club’s resistance is notably expressed by his absence from training sessions, a move aimed at forcing the transfer to the Italian vice-champion.
Despite interest from foreign clubs such as Tottenham, who recently joined the race with a competing offer, Inter Milan appears confident in their ability to finalize the deal thanks to the player’s clearly stated desire to join the Lombard club. This favorable position puts pressure on Atalanta to accept an offer that could be sent in the coming days, with negotiations considered crucial in the final days of the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Inter is also keeping an eye on other offensive options, notably Jadon Sancho, in case the Lookman transfer does not materialize. However, the club is actively working to finalize what would be its fifth summer signing, thus ending a saga that is stirring the Italian transfer market in August 2025.
