Following a successful loan spell at Red Star Belgrade, Congolese winger Silas Katompa Mvumpa is reportedly set to make a permanent move from VfB Stuttgart to Turkish club Samsunspor. A verbal agreement between the two clubs is said to be in place for a transfer valued at around €10 million.
The 26-year-old winger impressed during the 2024-2025 season at Red Star, scoring 5 goals and providing 1 assist in 16 league appearances. His performances attracted attention from several clubs, with Samsunspor submitting an official offer to Stuttgart. Initially, Stuttgart had valued Silas at approximately €8 million, but recent reports indicate negotiations towards a €10 million fee, with contracts nearing completion.
Still under contract with Stuttgart until summer 2026, Silas had fallen out of the club’s plans, making this transfer a logical next step. Samsunspor, based on Turkey’s Black Sea coast, is eager to strengthen its attack with his pace and offensive threat.
This move would also end a period of uncertainty for Silas, who took the loan to maintain playing time and his place in the Congolese national team. Though other Turkish clubs like Besiktas showed interest, Samsunspor appears poised to secure his signature.
