Macky Bagnack soon to return to Slovenia to strengthen Mura FC’s defense

Free since the end of his contract in Serbia, Cameroonian central defender Macky Bagnack could soon be back in Slovenia, a place where he previously had success. Mura FC, struggling early in the season, sees him as an experienced option to reinforce a fragile defense.

At 30 years old, Bagnack has varied experience across several European leagues. Trained at La Masia, FC Barcelona’s academy, he notably played for NK Olimpija Ljubljana in 2019, winning the Slovenian league title. This, combined with his international background for Cameroon, makes him an attractive profile for Mura FC, currently bottom of the Slovenian league after two matches.

Released by Serbian club FK TSC Bačka Topola, Bagnack is available, and talks with the Slovenian club are underway to finalize a quick transfer. Valued around €400,000, he is seen by Mura as a significant defensive reinforcement capable of bringing both solidity and top-level experience to a team seeking stability.

This return to Slovenia would be an opportunity for Bagnack to revive his career while fulfilling Mura’s urgent need for defensive improvement, building on the familiarity and success he previously enjoyed in the Slovenian league.
