Mohamed Bayo: Paris FC Targets Key Striking Reinforcement Amid Sassuolo Competition

Paris FC is actively bolstering its squad ahead of its debut season in Ligue 1. After securing Otavio last week, the Parisian club is now keen on Mohamed Bayo, the 27-year-old Guinean striker under contract at Lille LOSC until 2027, but no longer in coach Bruno Genesio’s plans. Valued at around €2.8 million on Transfermarkt, Bayo is a prime target for Paris FC, which is reportedly seeking a one-year loan deal that includes partial salary coverage.

Despite a disappointing loan spell at Royal Antwerp in Belgium, the former Clermont Foot scorer is eager to revive his career back in France. Paris FC is counting on his experience to strengthen their offensive line, a crucial factor for their objective of maintaining Ligue 1 status. However, newly promoted Serie A club Sassuolo also expresses serious interest, setting up a competitive scenario.

Currently sidelined from the main LOSC squad and training with reserves for the 2025-26 season, Bayo appears open to leaving, provided he secures assurances of regular playing time. Other French clubs like Nantes and Spanish side Rayo Vallecano are also reportedly monitoring his situation closely.

For Paris FC, signing Bayo would represent both a sporting and strategic coup: bringing in a known striker while capitalizing on a financially reasonable opportunity. The summer transfer window will be pivotal for Mohamed Bayo as he seeks a fresh start after a challenging period.
