AC Milan keeps up pursuit of Guéla Doué: A €25 million bid for the Ivorian International

Despite an initial rejection, AC Milan remains determined to sign Guéla Doué. The 22-year-old Ivorian right-back, contracted with RC Strasbourg until 2029, is the target of a new offer estimated at €25 million. Strasbourg, which values the player between €28–30 million, holds firm while the Italian club aims to finalize this priority transfer to strengthen their right flank.

AC Milan is firmly engaged in the race to recruit Guéla Doué, a young Ivorian right-back currently playing for RC Strasbourg. After an impressive season—featuring over 30 appearances and showing defensive versatility—Doué has become a priority target for the Rossoneri, who are seeking a replacement for Kyle Walker.

The Lombard club has already made several offers in recent weeks, including an initial €15 million bid that Strasbourg quickly rejected. A renewed offer ranging between €18 and €25 million is reportedly in preparation. Strasbourg, holding the player under contract until 2029, maintains a high valuation of around €28 to €30 million, viewing Doué as a long-term key asset.

Despite Strasbourg’s firmness, Milan remains determined. The player’s personal agreement with the Italian club favors a swift resolution. For Milan’s coach Massimiliano Allegri, Guéla Doué represents an immediate solution for the right-back position thanks to his ball-playing skills, aggressive dueling, and adaptability in both three- and four-man defensive setups.

If AC Milan meets Strasbourg’s financial demands, the transfer would mark a significant step in the player’s career, moving from a mid-table Ligue 1 side to a European football giant competing in major tournaments like the Champions League. Conversely, if negotiations fail, Milan might explore other options while Strasbourg retains one of its key players to pursue its domestic goals.

This operation fits within Milan’s broader strategy to renew its defense after missing out on other targets and aiming to reinforce its defensive ranks at the highest level. The Guéla Doué saga is therefore one to watch closely in the coming weeks as both clubs explore the possibility of a high-profile agreement.
